INITIATION
We set up a meeting to find out more about your ideas, preferences, company and product. We are very informal. We’ll probably meet with you over coffee.
INCUBATION
We organize our thoughts. We might revisit some of our earlier work, visit the art gallery, or look at how other designers have solved similar problems in the past.
IDEATION
We work on the idea, making new connections and separating unnecessary ideas. At this point, nothing yet is done on the computer.
ILLUMINATION
We get our ideas out in 10-15 rough computer sketches. Our clients do not see sketches from this phase unless they are interested in working through the process.
IMPLEMENTATION
We schedule a meeting to present 3 semi-refined concepts of a specific idea. The client then chooses the final concept to refine. Refinement continues until final implementation of the solution.

About The Designer
I was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa and am fluent in both English and Afrikaans. My African upbringing has taught me the importance of hard work and its inherent ability to strengthen character. It also influences my design style. My designs focus on clarity of form and detail, complexity of composition, the application of a vibrant color palette, and balance and symmetry.
I obtained my business degree from the University of Pretoria in 1993, and worked for one of the largest commercial banks in South Africa for 4 years. I immigrated to the United States in 1999, where I graduated summa cum laude with a design degree from Arizona State University in 2003, and have been working in the design and marketing fields since.
